Gender in Turkish Diplomacy

With the support of a grant from Koc University Center for Gender Studies, I am analyzing the position of women and gender in Turkish diplomacy, jointly with Rahime Suleymanoglu-Kurum. In the first phase of our research, we have analysed  data on diplomatic appointments and rank in Turkish Foreign Ministry. Currently, we are conducting interviews with Turkish diplomats in order to identify gendered practices in Turkish diplomacy.
