F. Sibel  Salman is a Professor in Industrial Engineering at Koç University.  She received her Ph.D. degree in Operations Research from Carnegie Mellon University, the USA in 2000. She holds an M.Sc. degree in Industrial Administration (Carnegie Mellon University, 1997), an M.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering (Bilkent University, 1994), and a  B.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering (Bilkent University, 1992). Prior to joining Koç University, she held a faculty position at the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University between 2000 and 2003.

Her current research interests are in network models and data-driven optimization with applications in disaster management,  humanitarian operations, logistics, production, health care, and business analytics.
