About PI

I received my Ph.D. and M.Sc degrees in electrical engineering from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, in 2015 and 2011, respectively, and my B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU) in 2009. Before joining to Koç University, I worked as a postdoctoral research associate at the John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University between 2016 and 2019. And, I recently joined the faculty of Engineering at Koç University where I currently work as an assistant professor in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

My research interests are at the intersection of data analytics, optimization, signal processing, inverse problems, machine learning, and algorithm development. Apart from the theoretical aspects, my research goals also bear practical features in data mining for high dimensional data, applications of artificial intelligence in imaging, vision and inverse problems in (biomedical) imaging.
