Sami Gülgöz is Professor of Psychology and Associate Dean of College of Arts and Sciences at Koç University.  He has been teaching at Koç University since 1993, when the university started education.  He is also an Associate Member of Turkish Academy of Sciences.

He primarily teaches courses in Research

Methodology, Testing, and Human Memory.

His research focuses on autobiographical memory, memory across lifespan, and the relationship between cognition and personality as well as other topics that intrigue him. Past research topics included text processing and need for cognition.
