Group 1: Cyclonic Vacuum Cleaner

Introduction

-What is your project?

Our project is a cyclonic vacuum cleaner, differing from the standard cleaners because of the dust tank.

-What is it used for?

It is used for indoor cleaning, mostly in houses.

-How does it operate?

As a result of the air flow provided by the electric motor, the dust will be vacuumed and go through the filters and will be stored inside the dust tank.

Disassembly

  Exploded View

How many separate parts does your object contain? Our object contains 33 different parts.  How many parts did you assemble in the assembly file? We assembled total of 37 parts.

Part Comparisons and NX Commands

Because of the curvatures, we used the “Spline” command to draw more accurate lines. To do this, as we mentioned before, we have located multiple points along the line and used those points. We also used the X-Form to draw the purple top cover because it was a free form part.

 Drafting and Tolerances

We chose this part for drafting because it is in direct contact with almost all of the other parts. This top part is very crucial in this manner.
