What is a “ Case Packer “ ?
A case packer is a machine used in consumer products industry for a wide variety of packaging applications. The case packer takes a corrugated case or a fiber board carton and assembles a box, collates the individual packages, inserts them and seals the box with tape or glue.
A normal industrial size case packer is far too complicated and advanced for our basis of knowledge and proficiency, so our approach is a much more subtle and basic one. Still utilizing the same mechanisms such as cams and shafts, the case packer will push a product into a box. Then, the box will be pushed away. While a known dynamic system, finding a blueprint for a case packer as a guide was difficult, so improvisation and simplicity was necessary.
