I am currently Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Koç University. I received my B.S. degree from METU (Ankara, Turkey) in 1990 and MS and PhD degrees from Northeastern University (Boston, MA, USA) in 1992 and 1996. Prior to joining Koç University, I was a faculty member at Ecole Centrale Paris (France). I spent the 2008-2009 academic year as a visiting professor at Northwestern University. I served as the Dean of the College of Engineering of Koç University in 2013-1019.

My main research interests are in operations research and stochastic modeling with applications to production, inventory and service systems. More information on my research can be found in my research page.
