Lectures:
Mon: 8.30 – 9.45
Wed: 8.30 – 9.45
Laboratory Sessions:
Occasionally, students will attend computer laboratory sessions. During these sessions, they will learn to solve control problems using Matlab and Simulink. The session times will be announced later.
Problem Sessions:
There is a problem session every week. The session times will be announced by the registrars’ office.
Exams:
Two mid-term exams and one final exam will be given. All exams will be closed-book. One sheet (letter size, double-sided) notes/formulas will be permitted in the exams. The exam dates will be announced by the registrars’office.
Project:
The project involves the simulation of a mechanical system in Simulink/Matlab.
Suggested Problems:
Please see the Suggested Problems from the textbook. In addition, solved problems of the past exams will be available in the shared folder of the course.
Grading:
Project: 25 %
Exam-I: 25 %
Exam-II: 25 %
Final: 30 %
Academic
Integrity:
Academic honesty is expected of all students. Discussions between students are highly encouraged, but copying homework or a code from others is strictly prohibited and will result in the failure in the course.
