Currently, we have open positions for new graduate students in the following ongoing projects:
1) Laser investigation of novel nano particles for photo-thermal therapy and photo-dynamic therapy
2)Development of novel pulsed lasers for photo-acoustic tomography applications
3)Miniaturized waveguide lasers
Additional current research areas of my group also include:
1) Investigation of nano-structured carbon based materials such as graphene and carbon nanotubes for femtosecond pulse generation from lasers
2)Development of new ceramic based lasers in the infrared spectral region
3)Thulium lasers operating in the mid infrared
4) Femtosecond pulse generation from mid-infrared thulium lasers
